What started out as a fun visit with family and friends to a local winery has grown into an enjoyable and growing small business for Jeff and Candy Potter. While touring a winery they took an interest in the winery's tables made from retired wine barrels. After puttering around with their own designs and concepts, and with growing enthusiasm, they made their first trip to Napa Valley to bring back their own wine barrels in September 2015 to be able to work hands-on with their designs and concepts for furnishings and decorations.
Jeff and Candy have been married for 30 years, and upon Jeff's retirement, having extra time on his hands and being very much a hands-on, do-it-yourself kind of person, using the skills he learned growing up, together with his innate ability to build almost anything, his wine barrel creations have evolved into some truly remarkable pieces. The quality of their product line shows his attention to detail and pride in his workmanship.
Candy, while still employed full time as a court reporter, has a keen eye and talent for designing and painting. Any logo, saying, poem or family name, in any font you can imagine, she can design and hand paint on a barrel, barrel head or stave for you. She takes great pride in creating designs exclusive to each individual. Examples of her custom work can be seen under the "Customized Items" section.
Together, Jeff and Candy enjoy making quality, unique hand-crafted furniture, wine racks, and other whimsical home décor items from retired and repurposed French white oak wine barrels and Jack Daniel's whiskey barrels. Throw in the occasional decorated wine and liquor bottles, and the creations are limitless.
If you can dream it, they can make it.
